Moldavia – Impressions and Activities

A spiritual journey consists of giving more to the place where you travel than consuming. Creating relations to the place by observing in an objective way and getting into contact with the people with a real interest in their doing are two ways of giving. A third one is the practice of asana and dedicating them to the country. With an asana you do not only activate your body but also create an atmosphere which builds up the surrounding.

Moldavia is a rather small country in a special field of tension. Most of it’s border is surrounded by Ukraine. Only on the western side the country borders Romania. Just at the end of the week of our visit there would be the elections in Moldavia. The political parties show up a tension that seems to exist in the population. There is a russian-friendly and an EU-oriented block.

Traveling to Moldavia we wanted to study the characteristics of the country. An ideal that Heinz Grill expressed was: „Each country should keep it’s character and even broaden it.“

Heinz Grill described the sphere as a very wide one. The light was quite strong. We learned that the soil has a very good quality, because there is a huge amount of black earth.

Discovering the market and the restaurants we could see and taste the high quality of vegetables and fruit. This is a great potential for Moldavia.

The architecture showed a very unique combination of round and angular geometries. Besides a lot of roofs were designed in various heights in the same building.

In this picture you can see very well the wideness in the light. Like the title photo this picture was taken in the Morilor Park in Chișinău.
